Pastor Melissa Scott, Ph.D., is the pastor of Faith Center church in Glendale, California. Pastor Scott continues a dynamic, global ministry that since 1975 has broadcast the Gospel message of Jesus Christ 24 hours a day through television and radio, and for the past two decades on the internet. An ordained minister for over 20 years, Pastor Scott became the full- time pastor of Faith Center in 2005. She was appointed by her late

husband, Dr. Gene Scott, to succeed his 30 years of service as pastor of Faith Center. With a mastery of over 25 languages, and possessing one of the world’s largest collections of biblical manuscripts in private hands, Pastor Scott is uniquely able to unfold the true meaning of God’s word. Her messages focus on profound biblical concepts in a way that allows the listener to learn and apply God’s word to their daily life’s circumstances. She is regarded as a “Pastor’s Pastor,” and numerous preachers from around the world draw from her wealth of teaching to help them minister to their congregations.

Dr. Gene Scott (1929–2005) was among the most powerful Christian voices of his generation, with a ministry spanning 50 years that ultimately touched the lives of millions worldwide. Raised in the traditional church, Dr. Scott lost his faith while in college and became agnostic, but he regained his faith through a

disciplined study of the historical evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Dr. Scott earned his Ph.D. in Philosophies of Education from Stanford University. He served as a missionary and consultant to major denominations before becoming the pastor of Faith Center in 1975. A staunch advocate of church freedom and a defender of the First Amendment, Dr. Scott was also a pioneer in Christian broadcasting. His teaching style was characterized by a professorial approach to investigating, unfolding and presenting God’s Word through studies in theology, history, linguistics and other sciences.
